Denise Trimbach is the Training Director at the Schooler Institute and a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner. Prior to the Schooler Institute, Denise was a trainer for a therapeutic foster care agency and has facilitated trainings for foster and adoptive parents in her church and community. Denise has an extraordinary ability to connect with struggling parents through real life experiences and encourage them to embrace new ways of parenting with compassion and competency.
Her early educational background lies in business administration, and she has spent the last 13 years studying and attending many conferences and workshops on parenting children with difficult histories. As a parent to children with physical differences, learning challenges and neurodivergence, and with multiple medical diagnoses, she has learned to research and grow as the needs of her children are revealed.
Denise and her husband, Tim, are the parents of nine children, four by international adoption. They have been practicing TBRI in their home since 2011. She knows by her own life experience the healing of God-centered, trauma-informed parenting. Denise has also been a homeschooling parent for the past 28 years and continues to teach her youngest three teens at home.
